Pros

I'll be fair and honest. I have no motive to be anything else. -Opportunity to make a difference -Quality product/idea -Recognised name and growing awareness -Some great talented people -Fun and respectful team meetings -Input and ideas are welcome, lots of opportunities to help shape the business for the better

Cons

Some classic issues and mistakes that you've seen before if you've had any involvement in a small company... The founder doesn't 'let go' or delegate. A common issue with a founder running day to day opps. The focus (obsession?) on the immediate cash situation drives decisions over and above any longer term success. Good staff should be valued and considered part of the mission. Turnover has been too rapid for a company this size. Yes, keeping a streamlined team is good in the short term but the lack of consistency is damaging. So what you have is a company that is essentially one person, holding the business back, because of short term thinking and a lack of trust. He should acknowledge the team are also invested and believe in the company too, rather than seeing them as a cost or only in it for a paycheque. Such as shame as with a different approach, it could take off.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. We made the difficult decision to move away from a freelance sales model despite early success. Unfortunately, this meant we were unable to retain some team members, as the company transitioned to a full-time, in-house model to support growing demand. We're proud to have built an inclusive environment, where all ideas are welcome across our fully remote team - and we try our best to have fun along the way. We're grateful that you highlighted this in your feedback. While the majority of small businesses have their ups and downs as they work towards product market fit, the leadership team's goal is to continually reinvest its revenue into growing a world class team of experts from every background, supporting their career development through increased responsibility, knowledge, skills and renumeration. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and should you like to take the conversation offline we'd welcome the opportunity to talk.
