Pros

The staff are amazing and supportive, there is a "we are in this together" feeling. When you do have a happy ending with a participant that gets the help they need and the outcome that you have been working with its truly rewarding.

Cons

no support, no guidance, directors are intimidating and turn a blind eye to the truth and blame others instead of taking responsibility for not knowing anything. For a social justice organization, it is sad to see how much of a dictatorship it really is and to look good will waste your time they will ask you what you think. there is a lost sense of what the overall mission and vision are and it's more about meeting numbers and not allowing different programs to collaborate. Also don't get on their bad side by asking questions if something is ethical or legal, they'll find an excuse to fire you especially if you are a millennial

Pros

Great non-profit to intern for, advocate, and bring awareness to underrepresented communities.

Cons

Parking can be tricky, but not too hard to find if you get there early.

Pros

Help the community and have over 40 programs.

Cons

There are no true leaders. The majority of directors only knew how to micromanage. The person I worked under is no longer there because of her behavior.
