Pros

-Pay Artists in 7 days. -Creative Jobs

Cons

-Artists are mistreated more than any studio -If you've heard of Prologue stories, Elastic goes beyond that. -Higher ups are so disconnected with artists and what really happens in studio. But most likely just don’t care. -No overtime even if you work till 5am for a month straight -Sweatshop culture -Directors/Producers always very ungrateful attitude. Like we are slaves. -Lots of throwing artists under the bus when it’s Producer/Art Directors fault -Culture of company owning it’s workers -Work over Personal/Family life mentality -Producers are very unorganized and under-qualified -Artists often have to handle duties for “Producers” and “Art Directors” -Under-qualified “Producers” & “Art Directors” do little to nothing but stand around being loud and rude, laughing and joking extremely loud day after day while artists are trying to meet deadlines for those jobs. -Art directors don't give a shred of direction. They just forward the client brief. -Many workers are told they should be grateful and are lucky to be here -Elitist snooty mentality -Artists are interchangeable and expendable -Not a comfortable atmosphere to bring up issues. Ever. This is NOT the opinion of one worker. This is the general feeling discussed between the artists at Elastic. The artists and leads are super talented and amazing and carry each job thru. But are treated like trash. Feels like a labor camp. Sad but true.
