Pros
My coworkers who became my friends. The atmosphere is pretty great and at times I find myself missing it despite what is going to follow in the ‘Cons’ section
Cons
Literally ZERO development or care for their employees. If you work here as a broker or a tracker I only have one thing to say to you: YOU ARE REPLACEABLE The rotating schedule that was implemented on April 1st, 2019 decimated any semblance of happiness, motivation, or social life that their employees had left. I left shortly after this schedule was implemented but my friends who still work there hate their lives. They implemented this rotating schedule because they have to “do what’s best for the business” d0 wHaT’S bEsT f0R tHe BuSiNess They should do what’s best for their employees. Elite has a great team of men and women that care way too much for what their getting paid. And if I were the CEO I would double their salaries without a second thought. I see the margins on these shipments. There is more than enough to go around and keep people motivated to do a good job. Every single person there is planning to leave and they are actively searching for jobs. And once summer hits (the busy season for Niagara Bottling) they are beyond f*cked. I can almost guarantee that 75% of their current employees are going to throw in the towel come June 1st because they will not and SHOULD NOT work that many hours a week for $1000 every 15 days. If you are thinking of working here or applying, my suggestion would be apply in September. That way you won’t get worked from 8AM-8PM for a measly $33,000 a year ($26,000 after taxes). Oh. And no overtime pay so good luck. There was actually a Department of Labor investigation against them because of this. Despite all of this, I don’t regret working here. I just wish that management treated their employees like they treat themselves.
