Pros

Good people, always felt really accepted and happy with the team. Company events are fun and the benefits are great - really appreciate the efforts made by the engagement team.

Cons

Don’t work here if you are disabled, or in any way need a bit of help or reasonable adjustments to work. After disclosing my disability, what had been months of positive feedback suddenly became constant negativity until I no longer felt like I was welcome at the company and had to leave, all because of issues that were because of my disability, and could have been rectified if reasonable adjustments were made. I regularly requested these adjustments and at no point were they implemented.

Pros

Ello Group is a genuinely supportive and fun place to work. The culture is collaborative, people are friendly, and managers really invest in your development. There’s always something new happening across our products and partnerships, which keeps the work exciting. If you’re looking for a positive environment with real opportunities to grow, Ello is a great choice. The benefits are a real standout 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays with an extra 5 days which accrues with service a fun social office culture with regular celebrations; £250 to try something new (from learning a skill to doing something adventurous like swimming with sharks!); Pawternity leave (two weeks WFH with a new pet); a paid Make a Difference Day to support a charity of your choice; discounted healthcare through BHSF; free access to our own brand products; and Meals on Ello (£30 monthly for each brand) & Many more! The work‑life balance is genuinely great too.

Cons

Because the business is growing quickly, things can change at short notice but it creates great opportunities to try new things and develop your skills.

Pros

The employee benefits are above average.

Cons

Management is inconsistent and disorganised, swinging between micromanaging every task and leaving the team completely unsupported. Feedback can be harsh and delivered publicly, under the guise of 'workplace banter', it never acknowledges when management is at fault, and any praise is almost always private. Communication and follow-up on tasks is unreliable, leaving staff frustrated and forced to chase answers. Work-from-home arrangements are tightly monitored, undermining trust and productivity. Unequal treatment and favouritism are common, negatively impacting team morale.
