Pros

Some really nice frontline staff.

Cons

Charging parents and insurance companies exorbitant fees. Core values of this company are more accurately stated as: Fear, Shame, Greed and Blame. The company culture is a dictatorship/banana republic. Wait lists were frequently "rearranged" based on insurance type. Level of care is determined by what insurance is willing to pay for. People with questionable backgrounds hired if the price is right. Having interns run groups and billing as if a licensed professional was there. A former psychiatrist would frequently mix up kids and their meds. The company mascot came from Chuck E Cheese and forgot to put pants on. Avoid working here. And definitely don't send children here.

Pros

If you are starting your career this can be an enriching learning experience, be prepared to physically and mentally defend yourself against clients.

Cons

I would try to talk to someone who has worked here before putting myself in this work situation. This location has many signs of a toxic workplace. Among long term employees, the company is known to encourage high turn over, literally (as in higher ups verbalize this as a strategy) expecting to always be able to hire more bodies. The facility has difficulty implementing the schedules and activities they wish to provide because the staff can hardly keep the miluea safe when everyone is together, much less when staff is split between two or three groups. The lawsuit against Embark for being understaffed is justified. Staff and client complaints are investigated more or less depending on who is the victim and who is the perpetrator. One employee with a certain ethnic racial and gender identity will have to argue their case with a supervisor for a hlaf an hour, while another employee will only have to say somehting asnd without investigating the supervisor will literally spend 3 to 4 hours of his workday writing up whoever is alleged to be in the wrong., Cameras are never used to validate complaints. I found this to bne very odd. The company explains their reluctance to install more cameras as budget related and yet doesnt follow any standard procedure to validate client or employee concerns- such as referencing cameras,. Overall you will find that almost every process in the facility is left ambiguos and often not fllowed or done in an inconsistent way. LASTLY AS A LIFE COACH YOU ARE GIVEN NO LUNCH BREAK. You do get fed meals though. Some of the meat is under cooked.
