Pros

Highest pay for revenue cycle in the industry by far Opportunity for growth Prestigious reputation Benefits

Cons

Senior and Executive Leaders constantly promoted with higher pay while Emory laid off twice within two years. Second time laying people off right before the start of the new fiscal year. Dishonest Press Ganey, Pulse Surveys, and greatest places to work reporting practices. Reputation is false, laid off twice and only notified employees either 30 days in advance or not at all, same day lay offs. No regard to employees. Senior leadership and executives target employees they do not like versus an employees work ethic and proven results. Dishonest in their practices towards employees. Human Resource Partners on campus are dishonest. Hostile work environment encouraged by lack of accountability from upper leadership. Absolutely no work life balance. Appears to be diverse and inclusive, however marginalized employees are disregarded for their innovation and hard work, simply because of who they are. Laid people off without notice, did not give a comparable severance package, and then under reported earnings to the Department of Labor.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
