Pros
Given autonomy and able to try creative approaches to recruiting, opportunities to take on additional responsibility, overall not a stressful job. It is a good place to start recruiting but not a place I would want to stay for very long.
Cons
You have to deal with some shady people, like the type you see on the news for violent crimes
Recruiters are not shown the appreciation they deserve, branch managers and business development managers are favored when they do little to nothing to actually support the business. Pay is very low for the amount of responsibility, The company is very old fashioned and benefits are seriously limited. High turnover, you will only get ahead if you make friends or are connected to higher-level management at corporate.
