The call center is a modern slavery machine. Yes, you worked from home back calls are back to back. At the call center where I am now, I have 2 minutes between calls, during my time at Empower there was no break between calls. I ended my days with a dry mouth and hurt throat. The manager I had micromanaged the team. Days off were limited and we had Mandatory Overtime. It was not a choice, you had to work overtime. I had calls nonstop and no way to get time off. It was a tough place to work at. The pay is not good enough for all the verbal abuse you receive. There is no way to move to a position where you do not talk all day. Where I work now, I am not on the phone all day every day.
