Management is great. Thety have a distributed workforce but are able to manage the skills and technology to provide excellent service.
Technical skills of the individuals are excellent. The individuals understand the technology.
The compny provides the necessary technology, tools, incentives, and training to keep the technical skills at the forefront of the industry.
The company uses social media better than other companies for which I have worked. There is good interaction between sales and technical, with sales knowing when to have technical representation on a call.
Cons
A distributed workforce imposes its own challenges. Centralization versus a regional focus creates conflicting strategies and balancing implementation is a challenge. A virtual workforce creates virtual distance and reduces communication. Social media can assist in this area, but it takes time.
The use of social media is good, but sales could use it better. The company is building a knowledge management implementation, but it takes time.
