Pros

If you are a christian than the PRO is Encompass Health is a christian based organization. If you are not a christian, than make sure you do your homework prior to joining the organization.

Cons

The constant pay changes throughout the organization without prior knowledge; nurses will work over 40 hours per week and still not meet their productivity bonuses and not get paid overtime; Sales people will be promised one bonus pay out plan and then it will change for some reason or another; Turnover - there is a high turnover due to false promises made to new hires and most will leave pretty quickly; There is not a tenured staff in most branches or divisions; Lies and Lack of integrity - for a christian based organization the leadership tends lie a great deal and give false promises; i.e. contests or "kudo" events the winners never are given their promised dinners, gift cards or days off. Lack of support and teamwork - its non-existent Sales folks - they are stepping over one another at accounts and fighting over referrals; senior management believes this is the best way to get business - let the sales people fight over the accounts. SERVICE FAILURES and LEADERSHIP FAILURES: i.e. the hiring of John Lochman

Pros

Great team to work, people are always willing to help each other. The clinicians genuinely care about their patients and it shows every day. You feel like you’re making a difference in patients’ lives. Good teamwork between departments. Leadership listens to feedback and wants the hospital to keep improving. Positive work environment with coworkers who care about doing a good job.

Cons

Healthcare is busy, so some days can be stressful. Things can change quickly, so you have to be flexible. Communication between departments can always improve. Like most hospitals, staffing can be tight at times.
