Pros
Friendly people and a generally social team culture. Easy to build cross-functional relationships. Work–life balance is manageable due to super low technical workload. Suitable for those who prefer stakeholder-facing or business-focused roles. Promotion can be fast if you’re highly visible and active in social/company events (some ppl can progress from junior to principle in 3 years!)
Cons
Since the demerge, the ds team went from over 20-30 ppl to now a very small team with lots of principles. Progression is driven more by internal politics and social presence than by technical capability. Not ideal for anyone seeking serious technical growth or modern DS practices. Very little genuine DS or ML work — most problems don’t require technical solutions.
