Pros

-Pretty of snacks -Endless snacks -Great location -Free alcohol -Great people in senior leadership -Unlimited PTO

Cons

-Your regular duties will include a lot of menial tasks but minimal strategy (washing dishes, going to Trader Joe etc) -Extreme lack of communication/guidance from direct supervision -Minimal teaching—But you will learn how to load paper towels into a bathroom dispenser -The entire office feels like one big clique since it is so small—so if you are not an EXACT culture fit you won’t succeed -limited variety of clients

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience working at Engage; we take your opinion very seriously. We take great care in developing our internship curriculum to ensure that each intern gets the most they can out of our program, and your feedback will help us refine that curriculum for future Engagers. Our interns do have some admin and office duties; however, we are upfront about these tasks being a part of the job during the interview process. Beyond those duties, interns get to pick a project to work on where they can learn and develop new skills while utilizing the whole office as resources, including the President and CEO. This is one of the benefits of a boutique agency in that you have direct access to all team members, and we are happy to hear your interactions with senior leadership were positive. Mentors and the Operations team have bi-weekly syncs with all of our interns to ensure they are receiving the best learning experiences possible in the program. It's unfortunate that we're receiving this feedback after your time at Engage, rather than during, as we do our best to cater to each internship experience to the individual. Again, we appreciate your feedback, and please know it will be used to improve the experience of our current and future interns.

Pros

Engage is an incredible collection of people. I deeply trust the partners here, as I've watched them take care of others and myself. The work life balance is fantastic if you can communicate well. The people here care deeply about the team, the clients goals, and the work produced. It feels like a family around here and I have no hesitation in recommending Engage as a great place to work. You'll have exposure to projects that have a really cool impact. The team here cares about your physical and mental health and takes steps to help wherever needed. This is a great place to hone your skills, play to your strengths, and learn from your failures.

Cons

Salary might feel like under market value. Due to the family structure/nature of the company - growth and promotion can feel less than straightforward. I personally feel like the positives far outweigh the negatives here.

Pros

I interned with Engage for about six months and loved every part of it! They were flexible with my school schedule since I was a full time student and even gave me an opportunity to extend my internship once my first one ended. I learned so much during my time at Engage and appreciated the staff's willingness to help me learn and develop my skills! I have never worked with such awesome people who truly enjoy their jobs and our supportive of every member of their team! Everyone at Engage took an interest in my success and were always willing to let me take on projects that I was interested in. They also helped me find my next job and were always willing to give advice and make connections for me. Engage has some of the coolest clients and projects and even as an intern you get to work on all of them! I would recommend an internship with Engage for anyone that is interested in digital marketing and strategy. You won't regret your experience there!

Cons

I noticed another reviewer mentioned having to do "menial tasks" such as making sure the break room is in order, picking up birthday cards, etc. These tasks are to be expected in any internship in my opinion. Also, the "menial tasks" were never things that I was forced to do or put off until I showed up to work. On days that I missed or if I was busy the full-time employees were happy to take care of those jobs!
