Pros

Being able to talk to people, not being stuck at a desk, and if you're a Republican / Conservative, or right in the middle but you DO believe in the agenda of the week, whether that is fighting to preserve our 2nd Amendment rights, or fighting against late term abortion, then this is where you can make a difference as you help others let their voices be heard by signing petitions, and in even better cases, getting them to fill out a voter registration card.

Cons

The pay is nowhere near a living wage, nor does it offer benefits to the field reps. Only the office administration is deemed worthy of great pay and benefits.

Pros

If you’re single, no family and you love politics, you’ll love job. If you’ve been in politics that’s the nature of the game. The executive director is a great dude with a good vision. HR was fantastic, very responsive. Data director never gave me a moment of doubt he knew what he was doing/talking about.

Cons

Culture varies drastically by region and some were very unchecked bad. Work/Life Balance is Non-existent. Young management team, no upward mobility. Nepotism in management due to seemingly political appointments. Some senior managers were negligent at best.
