Pros

I've recently joined the Engaged Nation team and had an immediate feeling of acceptance into the company. I felt fully supported from day one in learning my job duties. Expectations for my performance were tailored to my knowledge level which has increased dramatically due to the support of my fellow employees and encouragement of the management team. As we gain new accounts the workload is increasing but is never overwhelming due to the company's emphasis on teamwork. That philosophy puts the focus on consistently creating quality products for our customers. It's an amazing feeling to be a part of all of the innovative ideas I've seen in the short time I've been with Engaged Nation. I am excited to be part of this amazing team as we continue to push the envelope and explore new horizons for digital marketing. I'm really pleased with my choice to join the Engaged Nation team and the opportunities it will present for my professional growth.

Cons

COVID preventing me from working face-to-face with my new team members

Pros

Catered lunches and fun events

Cons

Copy and paste codebase, still uses PHP when there are more efficient programming languages available. Still using jQuery. Not a good place to work for developers who are comfortable with the more modern technologies.

We are continuously working to update our code base with modern technologies and frameworks. We do not "copy-paste" code; every line of code is proprietary, except for utilizing a few open-source libraries, which is a common practice. Moreover, we undergo regularly scheduled penetration, static, unit, functional, and behavioral testing. We believe collaboration is key to success, and we welcome team member suggestions, including the potential adoption of cutting-edge technologies. However, there can be stability in using what some may consider "legacy technologies."
