China tax your pay, you have to pay for housing from your check, and your own health insurance. By the time you pay for housing, taxes, and insurance, you have lost more than 60% of your pay. They only give you 10 leave days and depends on when you arrive that year, you may not get the full 10. Schools give you weeks of leave pay. They also overwork you without pay. Overtime pay is not worth it and you do not see a difference in pay. If you are a colored person, be ready for racism. You work all day on the weekends. Don't expect to travel a lot because you don't have time or enough money. In order to get a raise, you have to wait months and take TK exams to earn extra pay. And you have to pay 500 yuan for each exam. It can take over 6 months to see a 2,000 yuan of extra pay. Save your time and energy and work for the right company.
