Pros
- I made some great friends - Teaching is easy and the kids are lovely - Accommodation is handy and is well maintained
Cons
- Salary is not competitive, varies person to person (depending on how much they like you) and starting salary in your first year does not depend on how much experience you have - You are only likely to progress in the company if you keep your mouth shut and do not complain. If the managers like you, you might get a pay rise after the first year. - The hours are so long and working on Saturday is horrible. Having half days off does not make up for it. You work 6 days a week. - No travel allowance. Some people walk to work and some travel an hour. If you work an hour away you will have to cover the cost of that. - People who work in accommodation will walk into your apartment when they like and are unlikely to give you warning. - They do not care about their employees at all. The retention rate of teachers is so so low. Again they don't care about this. They don't listen to anything the teachers have to say and didn't change one thing in my year working with them.
