Pros
The company over all is amazing. Our senior management is incredible, communicative and accessible no matter who you are in the company. The company feels incredible stable in an economy that has been very rocky the past few years. The culture is one that wishes to support and encourage its employees but one that recognizes it will create a large alumni. This is a good thing because it means they want to arm employees with skills and experience that will help them be successful in their future positions. They are incredibly responsive and receptive to reviews and discussion. The work is never, ever, ever done but management recognizes that and does not have unrealistic expectations. Dress code is relaxed and casual. Company events are incredible and really wonderful experiences.
Cons
Not all departments are created equal. Some have a markedly easier time in terms of support and leadership from their management. There are growing pains and this start up grows into a mature company that is rapidly running out of space and ability to support a swelling head count. However, I feel confident that these pains will be addressed and are being addressed as swiftly as possible. As I said before, not all departments are created equal. There are some managers that seem woefully unequipped to handle their workforce. Communication between departments seems lacking. I would like to say this is all a part of the growing pains but some of the worst offenders have been there the longest. Pay isn't awful when you consider how stable the company is, but in a city where the cost of living is skyrocketing it is difficult to envision being able to survive, let alone thrive without scheduled cost of living adjustments.
