Pros

Being employed. Meeting some great people. Lots of experience early in your career

Cons

Constant change of leadership. Zero lateral mobility. Almost zero upward mobility unless you work evenings and weekends. Once you realise the workloads are unrealistic you might be tempted to voice an opinion about this. In my experience, they prefer to put people on a time management course or PIP them out of the company as there are lots of writers ready to replace you. Strangely, people in medical writing are usually ex-academics willing to work outrageous hours for no compensation, which is probably why private equity firms keep buying out these agencies. If you value work-life balance, this might not be it.

Pros

Great people culture within divisions. Collaboration and cross selling across different division

Cons

Extremely lean Unrealistic revenue target Company keep changing bonus structure, and keep surprising everyone with disappointing news weeks before bonus payout when previously mentioned on a monthly basis everyone is going to get a great bonus Lack of diversity. Out of 50 executive leaders - 3 come from a diverse background. But these 3 were inherited via acquisitions and not hired by EPG either
