Pros

You are often left alone to get on with your work - meaning you can get quite a bit done and the problems are sometimes challenging. It is also an awesome place to learn to learn about office politics and life in general. If you enjoyed the book "The 48 laws of power" by Robert Greene then this is the place for you. You can see each chapter played out daily by the various people orbiting the CEO and even the CEO himself. Based on some of the other reviews on this site the creative writing coming out of the management of this company is also top notch.

Cons

Way too many meetings. You end up listening to people from other teams droning on from pre written A4 sheets for hours. These meetings generally started around 6:30pm. You are also required to attend corporate workshop weekends which are dressed up as fun trips away. If you enjoy being thanked (personally) by 3rd world school children for your companies school donation and doing hungover "trust fall" style activities then maybe you'd enjoy these weekends.

Pros

For the most part Epoch talks the talk and walks the walk in regards to caring for employee work-life balance, well-being, development, comp, etc. and is probably the best corporate culture I’ve worked in. Company has some very smart people and a very flat structure meaning nobody is too good to talk to you.

Cons

Perhaps not the hottest tech stack I’ve worked with

Free lunch, seasonal dinner party, pay was once competitive, bonus paid semi-annually.

Cons

Management shift focus very fast. Layoff happens very frequently.
