Pros

I thought this company would be a great fit for me, but my experience working for Equi has been nothing but awful! If you’re considering applying for a position here, trust me when I say you’d be much better off working literally anywhere else.

Cons

Equi has got to be one of the worst companies you could ever work for! My experience with the company has been filled with nothing but stress, frustration, and regret. It’s led by an incompetent leadership that keeps making terrible decisions and lacks accountability. They had no long-term plan in mind, and every choice they made was solely driven by greed and vanity. They couldn’t care less about employees as well, and often forced them into meeting unreasonable demands, pushed them well beyond their limits, and overall made them miserable! During my time at the company, I often had to work long hours just to be able to meet their ridiculous expectations, and with how awful my work-life balance was at the time, I was practically unable to do anything outside of work.

Pros

The mission here is real, and you can feel it in how decisions get made and how leadership talks about the work. The team is thoughtful, collaborative, and high-caliber without being cutthroat. As an HR Business Partner, I've appreciated that people strategy is treated as a core function and not an afterthought. There's genuine investment in employee growth, whether through stretch assignments, mentorship, or just the freedom to take ownership of your work early on. Work-life balance is respected too. Flexibility is the norm and managers lead by example on that front.

Cons

Like most growing companies, processes and structure are still catching up to the pace of the team. Some things that should be documented live in people's heads. If you need a lot of established playbooks it can feel ambiguous, but if you're comfortable building as you go, that's actually energizing rather than frustrating.

Pros

I genuinely enjoyed my time at Equi. The firm had a lot of energy, and it felt like the kind of place where people were excited to build, improve, and push things forward. I really valued the people I worked with and the overall sense of momentum. There was a strong mix of ownership, trust, and ambition, which made the work feel engaging and worthwhile.

Cons

The environment could move quickly, so there were times when things changed before everyone had full clarity. That said, I generally saw this as part of working at a growing firm rather than a major negative.
