Pros

- Good benefits - Nice office dynamic, casual - Impactful work - Fun, young people - Possible to achieve work-life balance

Cons

- Disconnect between client and product teams sometimes leads to weird client outcomes - Most executives and senior leaders seem reluctant to understand operational painpoints (or feel like it is below them to understand). Obsession to innovate puts unbelievable burden on operational teams. - Decision making process is opaque. Very dependent on informal cliques and an "inner circle" of two or three employees that joined early and can be bullies. Has demotivated many high performers. - Career progression unclear

Pros

Ethic has definitely changed over the years, and I think it’s in a much better place now. The company started with a strong pure mission and a very tight-knit culture—maybe too tight at times. Seemed like most peoples entire personal life was wrapped up in the company. It felt like some saw it more of a personal playground than a business, which made things a bit intense. So intense that you spent more time trying to think through what a few people would do with every decision you made or what you said in meetings. Many of those people were actually really smart but it was chaotic most days and interesting to watch when blow ups would happen in meetings. Since then, there's been a noticeable shift. We did a partnership that seems to be going fine. Leadership has shifted its approach to be a bit more professional and less relationship style. The overall focus is now more balanced: still flavors of the beginning but alongside personalization. Less world changing stuff and more practical. Not surprising if you've worked at other companies that are Series D. The culture has matured a lot. People here are thoughtful and motivated but there’s also more room for different perspectives and less pressure to fit into one or two peoples mold. It’s a little bit less fun coming into the office but I’m not looking for that out of work at this phase of my life. But some are and I understand. I miss the past and the laughs but overall, it's a solid place to do meaningful work and i'm more optimistic than i've been about an exit.

Cons

Lack of C level leadership. More diversity in management.
