Pros
- Had the opportunity to work with some amazing people! - Great solution overall. - Generous PTO - Summer Fridays are amazing! - Leadership team is flexible and understanding for the most part. - Management does their best to be understanding & supportive when facing any personal/health challenges. (Personal experience, would be unfair to say otherwise).
Cons
- Small teams hard to manage vacation coverages. - Employee Benefits aren’t the greatest. I know I incurred an astonishing amount of medical expenses that were not included in our group benefits. - Salaries aren’t on par with the industry & market standard but there can be a trade of given the work life balance to some. However, justify in today’s economy. - Changes that only impacted my role, income and performance. Unfortunately I just couldn’t bounce back. - Other posts are not wrong regarding the lack of team activities but that’s to be expected in a completely remote company. - Not all departments were given the same type of attention and investment which is unfortunate. - The goal for the team aligned on at the beginning of my time with EM changed over the course of the two years which I strongly believe could have been avoided in certain situations. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
