Pros

They give a lot of autonomy over events.

Cons

Very low pay, overwork employees and expect event managers to be on call for members 24/7. High turnover in this company.

The Bellevue event manager has been with the company for over a decade, his last assistant only left because her husband took a job in Silicon Valley (she was quite good). The average time on job for Event Managers around the country right now is about 6 years. We pay industry standard pay for Event Managers (adjusted for experience) and offer more stability than most jobs in that category. Also our staff are working with great single adults (no kids or retired people in wheel chairs) and sometimes are hosts for trips to various places around the world (all expenses paid). Trips coming up this year include Cuba, Antarctica, Vietnam, Europe, WWR the Grand Canyon and Machu Picchu. As the owner of the company if I was going to step down and take one job in our company? Event Manager would be that job its a blast to do.

Pros

You will become a better salesperson.

Cons

I personally do not like working from home on Zoom all day. Some people love it tho.

Pros

Fun local travel opportunities occasionally

Cons

Low pay. Terrible benefits. Didn't receive a raise after being promoted for months and only ever making profit. Consistly worked over 40 hours a week doing the job of many while making very little. The CEO lacks empathy and would rather deal with consistent turnover than pay his employees fairly. Management was inconsistent. You are consisitly thrown to the wolves of the customers who feel they were scammed. Lack of security- I had to share a hotel room with a customer whom I just met. Employees also have had to share beds with each other on trips instead of getting their own room. Just so many not normal things.
