-Major growing pains, work flows and procedure need work.
-Assay development is still very much in progress. You will spend a lot of time re-analyzing large amounts of samples. You hardly ever have a day where all assays are working correctly.
-About 50% of the supervisors know what they are doing. The ones that don’t are REALLY bad. They tend to put people in charge that have little to no experience.
-Wouldn’t recommend to MLS/MLT degreed generalists. Could loose good lab habits and/or skills or may even get bored. There is only a chemistry and a light automated molecular department.
-PTO gets denied a lot
-There is a lot of waste within the laboratory. It’s kind of sad. Lots of room for cost savings.
