Pros

The only good thing about working here is being able to see films for free and the discount on food, and even then, you're limited to how many times you can come in a month, and the discount only applies to a small selection of items.

Cons

I turned down another job offer to accept an opportunity at Everyman, as I was told during my interview that it would be a role involving customer service, I'd be receiving regular hours and that there'd be opportunities for career development. However, the reality of the job was completely different from what was promised. The contract turned out to be zero-hours, and there would be weeks where I received only one shift or none at all. When I brought this up to a manager, I was simply told that's how it works and to find another job if I didn't like it. The role ended up not being just customer service, but I was also expected to clean screens and toilets, prepare food, run orders, check stock and wash dishes all for minimum wage. I regularly had to deal with abusive customers, and management provided no support when these situations occurred. I expressed surprise the first time I was told to wash pots, as it wasn't mentioned in the job description, and this resulted in me being labelled as 'aggressive' by managers. I received hardly any training either, and I learned most aspects of the role from other team members. The workplace environment is highly unprofessional and cliquey. Managers will sit back and openly gossip about staff while leaving us to work, those who don't engage in drama and get on with their work are labelled as quiet and hostile, and they'd find a problem with me even if I did a task exactly as instructed. As of today, I'm still yet to receive my P45 and final paycheck.

Pros

Room for growth within the company. Good pay scale. Healthy work environment. Enjoyable atmosphere.

Cons

Scheduling can be difficult because of how busy the business stays but you’re never slow or needing more work. If you’re down to work hard there’s money to be made.

Pros

Flexible shifts during quiet periods. Some co-workers were nice.

Cons

Was on a 10 hour contract but often went weeks without shifts, always cancelled due to lack of guests. Minimum wage for essentially doing three jobs - waiter, cinema employee, and dishwasher. Closes sometimes went on for hours after they were scheduled due to busy films during the Christmas period. Co-workers and managers would openly gossip about others on the clock. Managers would pick favourites and let some team members get away with breaking rules while others are scolded. Got sick because I was on closes all the time and ended up lacking Vitamin D because of the late hours in winter. Do not recommend
