Pros

Good work environment with fellow colleagues Free gym membership Flexibility

Cons

Expected to work 12 hours the last 3 days each month ‘to hit targets’ but only get paid for 8. This is an expectation which is basically obligatory. Rewards are based on a negative approach and not a positive reinforcement e.g. your bonuses get deducted if you don’t hit certain targets and instead of striving to overachieve and being positively rewarded for these. Sometimes expectations are unrealistic and detrimental to the health and moral of employees/ Management are not interested in listening to positive changes, they are happy on the current hamster wheel with too many managements to report to to make a quick and effective decision.

Thank you for providing feedback regarding your previous role. We are pleased to hear that you had positive experiences with your colleagues. However, it is disheartening to learn about the excessive pressure and high expectations that were imposed upon you in your position. Considering the nature of the sales field, it is crucial for us to embrace a positive, proactive approach rather than a negative one, and we acknowledge the need for improvement in this aspect. We truly appreciate your insights on how we can better support our dedicated membership consultants moving forward.

Pros

Large company with options to relocate around the country, if you wanted to. Very good with health and safety procedures, majority of processes ready to be implemented.

Cons

Very sales driven. Targets, KPIs and profits are prioritised over colleagues and members. Sales team expected to give up personal time on end of month. You're expected to check and respond to emails when you're off or on annual leave. The company is very clique, you don't really progress unless you know someone in a senior role. Salary is always advertised as 'competitive' however, the pay doesn't justify the work you're required to do, or the extra time you work without pay. It's frown upon to claim for time worked outside of your contracted hours. There is no such thing as work life balance: you're expected to work day all the time and not be paid for it.
