Pros

4 day week, autonomous over work - you decide what you want to do, no micro management, 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays), nice vibes - people trust and respect each other to get the job done.

Cons

Harder for people who need lots of direction in their work because of everyone working autonomously. Need to be a great communicator as well great at your actual job.

Pros

• 4 day working • Some flexibility with how you work

Cons

Evolved used to appear so different to other agencies, they cared about their staff, valued work-life balance and genuinely wanted to do good things. Sadly, that mentality hasn't been present for quite a while now. A 'performance culture' slowly replaced the good will they had built up, resulting in finger pointing, strange team decisions and a change of focus every quarter. It felt like the trust in staff had completely eroded due to previous altercations and sour exits with former employees. Similarly, there is very little trust from the staff in the management and business direction, it became clear that the board had a specific way they wanted to do things and would put all of their focus in that direction. It rarely worked though, consistently losing clients and struggling to attract new work, not to mention year-on-year redundancies that they seem too comfortable with as a course of action now. The big personalities and culture ambassadors the agency was known for have long since departed the team, that's the biggest red flag. Progression at Evolved is a mixed bag, with some roles offering multiple promotions within a short period of time, and others stagnating for years with no pay review. There were multiple attempts at individual goals and performance measures across the company, but they changed almost every year, making it very difficult to prove your worth. It usually came down to who the board deemed the most valuable, rather than fair opportunity for everyone. Current staff don't feel stable or just don't care anymore, both are understandable. In the most recent wave of redundancies, both long-term workers and newer staff lost their jobs, and weren't given so much as a thank you or goodbye. They just reached their final days in silence, with surviving staff not being communicated to apart from hearing from those directly affected. They even made some team members work through their notice period instead of being able to look for new work, once again proving the lack of care for the individual and a severe lack of planning. If it wasn't for the 4 day working week, there wouldn't be many people willingly staying.
