Misleading - Sales Representative Exclusive Marketing Innovations Employee Review

Being an intern, I've had the opportunity to work with all the positions at EMI and it has been pretty awesome to see how the ins and outs of a business work. The growth in the company is definitely real and I hope they hire me on for a full time position as soon as I'm done with school. I have gained a lot of valuable skills I can take anywhere and I feel like I'm actually learning something every day versus coming in being another intern or employee that does mundane tasks until they can leave.

I can see the job may not be fit for everyone but I think they make things extremely straightforward. At least they were for me when I first started with the company so no cons for me, personally.

The job is a door to door sales position. They pitch you on opportunity. While being a door to door salesman is rough it does teach you how to overcome hard objections and to be solution oriented

This is a door to door job and they pitch you on opportunity to owning your own company. They tell you they have a base salary of $500 weekly only to find out that in order to achieve that salary you have to sell a certain amount. The hours are 11:00am-9:00pm. Be prepared to be strictly commission based and have to pay for your own gas and mileage. The office life is not what they say either. Thy tell you they do developmental meetings in the morning when in reality you spend the morning playing games and chanting cult-like sayings like "so hey guys!" Be prepared for management to care about you in the first few weeks you are hired and act as if you are the best salesmen in the world then screw you over and treat you like everyone else. The chance of someone moving up in this business is very slim and everyone is out for themselves. I would not recommend this business nor this company to anyone. They are very misleading and dishonest with everything they do
