Pros
Working with the clients is extremely rewarding. Clients are kind and a joy to get to know. Boundaries and work-life balance are encouraged.
Cons
The company: - Horrible PTO policy for new employees - Lack of oversight leads to important client needs falling through the cracks - Very large workload - Poor training - Not a collaborative environment - Lack of accountability for higher-ups - Very low pay The work: It is hard not to feel like you are setting up refugees to fail. The difficulties they face here on top of sometimes decades of trauma they have experienced is hard to stomach. Didn’t feel like we could really meet needs as an organization because of the sheer number of clients and their often-complex situations. Very frustrating. Work life balance is encouraged but it’s nearly impossible to get the work done without running yourself ragged.
