Unprofessional and a bit sketchy - Breeding Technician Explora BioLabs Employee Review

Pros

New equipment, new building, a little flexible

Cons

I was let go for no reason. Was called and told not to come in the next day. No review and no explanation. The manager of the breeding team doesn't like anyone who wants to improve their skills. Was extremely biased and had a temper. I questioned about wanting to read the IACUC protocol and was refused. This was due to questions on policy like submandibular puncture for blood collection as well as euthansia methods for neonates. Getting signed off of training was frustrating with horrible communication. The assistant and now team leader is arragont to the point of a fault.

Pros

Explora has provided me with all the skills I need to be a great animal care technician. The husbandry team is by far the best team I had worked with. They give everyone a chance to take the ALAAS Certification and enroll it's employees to the website for studying materials. I have created great connections with previous upper management and co-workers. A true company I would have loved to grow with. Former CEO (Founder) Richard Lin has done an EXCELLENT job managing this company.

Cons

Overwork employees constantly with unexpected workload and expect A1 performance. Some upper management take care of each other when other employees are mistreated by a Supervisor/Manager. Manager Leaves early every Friday.
