I've been with EyeMD EMR Healthcare Systems, Inc. longer than any other employer in my career. This team is great - not perfect, but truly awesome. Good people, through and through. An extremely talented group. It's a privately owned company, so the boss gets to be "the boss". There are no shareholders or investors to muddy the waters. The clarity in the ultimate goal is not just stated but actually lived by the staff, all the way up to the owner: Take care of the client. It's pretty simple really, but if you do right by people, they'll do right by you. It really makes for a great work environment and the clients sense it too. The level of collaboration and respect between the company and it's clients is really pretty amazing. The benefits are great (for real great) and we have a lot of fun as a group. Knowing what's coming for this company is exciting stuff. The next few years are going to be fun to be around for.

No workplace is perfect, but man do they try. You're not a number here (which is great) but you have to pull your weight and because it's a consolidated team, it's hugely obvious when you don't. Not only will leadership immediately notice but it's pretty likely that your coworkers will get annoyed too. Don't be that guy. Just show up, ask for help when you need it and do your best. The path for advancement leaves something to be desired. In fairness it's a growing company and you have to be willing to grow along with it in whatever capacity is available to you.

I have been in the employment field for many years both as management and as an employee. I have worked here for several years now. It is a very fast moving and fast changing company. The CEO stays on top of his game with new things that may affect the company. The OM is very easy to deal with and works with employees regarding schedules and time off. They live by their core values and treat the employees and clients with respect. Management expects you to do your assigned job and is not "looking over our shoulder" all the time . The company covers most all the premiums for the benefits like medical insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, etc for employees and even though the deductible is high on the medical insurance, I believe most all companies are facing this issue of finding a balance.

I have found that communication with employees, keeping us informed of updates and new features being added to the company, and training us sufficiently may be a com, however, this has definitely improved the past year as employees have voiced this concern. They definitely listen to employee concerns and address them in a timely manner.
