Pros

A few good people work here

Cons

They will purposely destroy you to make them selves look good or throw you under the bus. They will punish employees for going to HR because they don’t want to get in trouble. They think because a leader is LGBT that they can’t be prejudiced against other LGBT employees when they have done things to those employees that should have gotten the leaders fired. If you like hearing leaders personal and political views this is the place for you. It is a big mess of disorganization and you’ll be the one getting in trouble for not being able to create something worthwhile from zero instruction. They are willing to threaten to fire employees for having to leave for genuine medical emergencies. I saw and heard multiple cases of this in my time there. So they genuinely don’t care if their employees die, they just want them to make money for them.

Pros

The team I worked with on a day to day basis was stellar. The Support, Development and Product departments are the hardest working teams there and the work that those departments did together was amazingly cohesive and collaborative.

Cons

Executive management repeatedly made promises to current and potential clients without consulting other departments or teams. This caused unrealistic project timelines both internally and externally. Executive management would force development to re-prioritize their work on a weekly basis causing further delays on projects that had previously been a priority. Support and Product spent a large chunk of their time putting out fires with angry clients because of the delays caused by unrealistic promises and time frames by management & sales, severe under-staffing in multiple departments and a lack of communication from the top down. The company seems to be more focused on how they are perceived by clients than the quality of the work they do for clients. Awards > Product Quality. Example: employees were "encouraged" to vote for the company in a Best Places to Work poll as well as push clients to vote for the company in an industry award poll. After reading this review, I wouldn't be surprised if they "encourage" employees to review the company here to improve their rating. Much like other companies, they have copious amounts of meetings that accomplish little to nothing but taking up people's time. When asking a question in a meeting, expect to get interrupted halfway through your answer or cut off completely. CEO is a micro-manager which gives the impression he doesn't trust the managers he has appointed.

F&I Express Response
8y
At F&I Express we strive to provide a healthy, supportive work environment. • The Best Place to Work in DFW required us to give the emails to all employees. We encouraged people to respond but we did not tell them how to answer. We ended up being a finalist. • The Dealers Choice Awards for F&I Technology is voted on by our customers. The people sponsoring the award tell all companies to get dealers to vote. We sent a link to our Dealers encouraging them to vote. The dealers complete the surveys on their own. We did win the award as the Top Provider of F&I Technology. • Key components of our Culture at F&I Express are communication, collaboration, and transparency - which requires people to meet. The various teams have Agile Stand-Ups for 15 minutes each day and everyone gathers for the 10-minute Daily Huddle. The Daily Huddle is an important part of our Culture where we review key company metrics, recognize employees and make general announcements. • F&I Express has tripled the employee count over the past 14 months. Our customers are a priority at F&I Express. As we grow, we continue to evolve. The meetings are needed to improve and modify our software to stay ahead of the curve.
