Pros
-Laid back atmosphere. -Coworkers are mostly friendly but of questionable intelligence. Many individuals are very passive aggressive for trite reasons. -Good work/life balance. No one cares if you mess up, either. -PTO is acceptable compared to similar companies.
Cons
-Some lab equipment outdated; depends what team you work on. -Unnecessarily competitive environment; it’s lab vs. lab or team vs. team. Constantly fighting for space or resources with zero resolution. Management is ambivalent toward this, so get it in your head now that nothing will change. Space is extremely limited at this location. Expect to constantly bump into people physically due to poor building layout. -You are, or will be, in a predicament or quagmire of sorts if you do not have a PhD and expect to move up. Or, more importantly, you won’t ever be taken seriously. -Pay is considerably lower than market value for a wide number of roles. -Health insurance is awful. Absolutely unacceptable compared to other companies. -Weekend work.
