Pros
Lots of faces come through due to the membership program so it’s nice to not have to search for a client base from scratch.
Cons
You can get screwed with no tips from time to time or clients that tip poorly and are just looking for a good deal with the membership. It’s a great business model for the people at the top but not so much for estheticians. Unreliable schedule too. They’ll cut your hours last minute if you’re not fully booked up and move your appointments to someone else. I was on my way to work several times then told to come a few hours later which was annoying and a waste of a commute. Benefits are not great at all. There’s a small contribution to get your own health insurance but it’s not significant enough to make much of a difference. The marketplace is just expensive so it’d be nice if they had healthcare offered through the company. Depending on location you can also encounter cliques and cattiness among the staff. Most of my coworkers didn’t even introduce themselves when I started. Overall was happy to leave. I didn’t enjoy the environment at all.
