Pros
Most the people you work with are great. You'll get great experience with patients and learn how to communicate and take care of others. EMT basically hold up this company and do a great job at trying to make hospitals happy.
Cons
I had put years in here. They don't care about you. I learned this very quickly. They are a business and you are a person who can be replaced. They have no loyalty towards you, and it certainly shows. They will write you up, it will happen. They are cheap with their business, never buying anything new. They are they only section making money, so they are becoming very stingy when trying to basically support the others. Half the time, especially on the nurse rigs, you get to make due with what you have and have to think on your feet. That isn't bad, but when you are a child under a major global company, and with the promises from the beginning, you'd think they could manage a little splurging to make their employees happy, but you'd be wrong. Especially now with the Denmark section losing the country contract, not Falck US is holding up themselves. As an EMT, you will see the RNs being treated like gods, while you are treated like dirt. They will get away with anything, you wont. All companies have issues, I am aware of that, but AMR and others have had workers there for decades, Falck cant seem to keep anyone more than 6 months.... Maybe there's a reason?? If I were you, I'd go work at a hospital or a fire department, you'd get better experience and get paid more.
