To Whom It May Concern,
So sorry that your experience at Fallone’s was such an unhappy one. However, as the Director and Owner of the center. I would like the chance to clarify some false statements you have openly submitted to the public.
I would like to address the pay at my center. In all the interviews the pay is discussed as well as yearly raises in which each employee receives every year. No one is blindsided on the pay scaled in the interview or upon being hired. Staff that start at Fallone’s with less experience start at minimum wage, others with more experience and education get paid more. .
The reason my children are driven in my SUV is because our bus is full of happy children going on field trips and I always drive my truck as an emergency back up when needed. These children are counselors in training and they drive with me to help with any responsibilities of the field trips. This is part of their training and their parents have given me full consent to transport them in my bus and truck. I am NYS regulated and one of the best child care facilities in Monroe County just ask the State Of Social Services and Child Care Council, my reputation speaks for itself.
A Director and Owner of a professionally run child care facility does have policy and procedures as well as certain ways to operate the center to the best of their ability. I’m very open to new ideas, suggestions and ways to better my program. I have always professionally conducted my staff meetings in which staff that attend get paid for their time. Staff meetings are for training staff in a positive manner to help them better care for the children in their classrooms. I have never slapped my hands on my knees and got in someone’s face or yelled in their face, that is certainly not my style or within my character. I am very passionate about the care of our children and often get very energetic when trying to train my staff.
On the lunch issue; I buy lunch for whoever I wish to at the center for appreciation for the good, hard work and dedication they have given me at Fallone’s. Sometimes I buy for the entire center, sometimes the front office or sometimes the individual who is with me. My employees are also my friends, a part of my Fallone’s family. Fortunately, you cannot make me or the people at Fallone’s miserable or unhappy because it is just a happy, safe, loving place for families to bring their children and experience a lifetime of wonderful memories.
Lastly, I would like to comment on the one of our happiest members of Fallone’s. My dog Coraggio has been with us and myself since he was eight weeks old and he turns ten years old on April 20th 2016. He has brought so much joy to my life and everyone’s life at Fallone’s; I can’t imagine him not being there with me. He has taught us to love unconditionally to B. Strong and have courage and he loves those children as much as they love him. He gets a bath and gets groomed at Fallone’s because he is a big part of Fallone’s just like myself and my families are a big part of Fallone’s. Having him groomed at the center gives me the opportunity to stay at the center instead of leaving the premises to take him somewhere. As the Director I have been at the center every day for nineteen years and if I can schedule things at the center and not have to leave then you bet I will do it. Parents welcome that and see that as a positive thing, the director is on the premises almost all the time and if I wish to get my dog groomed there then it is my choice because it is my center and I pride myself in it. My dog has been passed through the State Of Social Services and has a Citizenship training where he can be anywhere such as centers, nursing homes, and hospitals. The children and I trained him and he passed all test so he can be around everyone safely. There is not one family or child that doesn’t love my dog, he is their dog as well. He has never scratched, bit or hurt anyone since he was eight weeks old and he deserved just as much love as he has given. He is truly a gem and I love him dearly. He deserves to be well taken care of just as my children are and I assure you I do my best to do so.
Thank You,
Bernice Fallone
