Pros
Upper management is mostly hands off. If you're a store manager you get to drive the company truck home. Otherwise, not much.
Cons
They believe in internal competition which is the ruination of organizational health. While profit is high, turnover is even higher. If you're good, you'll get a promotion but that will include a new sales goal before getting into bonus/commission money. Thus, you take one step forward and two steps back as the goal posts keep getting pushed back. When I was there the management was very uneducated in managerial styles and supervision techniques. The high-turnover-store-employees are often recent college grads whereas the upper management went to the school of hard knocks, stay forever, and don't realize how lacking they are in their managerial talent.
