Pros

Competitive pay (though this should be qualified with the fact that there was a year where annual raises were not given despite the fact that executives explicitly stated that the company had achieved record profits)

Cons

I dread the time I spent at FCE so much that I didn’t even want to create a glassdoor review, simply because it would require me to spend time reflecting on my experience there. However, it is my duty as a professional and decent human being to provide an honest review of the company and what occurs there. Please - to any potential interviewees or prospective employees - heed my warning, and consider the below before going in to interview. At the very least, make sure to meet with more than just your potential manager, and with other employees behind closed doors to get a taste of what the company culture is truly like. Also, there are lots of “reviews” on FCE’s glassdoor page that are actually current employees receiving pressure from management and executives to post positive comments. Please take those with a spoonful of salt. The below actually happened while I was working there, and I implore glassdoor to leave this up if they truly stand for providing honest, useful information to qualified professionals. Here is a list of things that actually happened to me and other employees while I worked at FCE: - Paid Vacation Time was removed from employees in Texas when the hurricane hit and it was dangerous for them to come into work - Paid Vacation Time was removed from employees on a regular basis and without warning (the above is just one instance) - Weekly training and tests that aren’t relevant to one’s work duties and are an excuse to get employees in trouble - Employee turnover at unrivaled rates - Employees being fired for no reason - Because of the above, employees are quick to throw others under the bus over anything, in order to appear less guilty and keep their jobs. The result: no collaboration, and no teamwork - HR is generally rude, unresponsive and disrespectful - There was a lack of a clear-cut organizational chart, since whoever was the company’s favorite (eg related in someway to the owner) got final say, even if it was against the company or customer’s best interest - Would hear from people not even in my department that I was performing sub-standardly before my own manager would talk to me - Would be spied on in the office by people with obscure titles, despite the fact that I was a salaried employee and was completing my work in a timely manner - Given very little training on relevant job duties but was trained regularly on completely irrelevant facts/information - Was required to clock in and out despite the fact that I was a salaried employee. Heard of salaried employees being fired for working less than 40 hour weeks

Pros

Work life balance and management that is understanding. In my two years working at FCE I didn’t feel overwhelmed and think the work is manageable. I never worried about work outside the office. Charlie Is the best director I’ve ever had and the management team as well as supervisors were always available to help!

Cons

Work may seem daunting at first but the more you do it the easier it gets
