Pros

Met some great people (non-management).

Cons

Leadership in company fails to understand US culture on virtually all levels, especially how to treat employees and the importance and value of the HR function. They are a "reactive" not "proactive" culture that runs the US EXACTLY as they run France, which apparently we heard, worked great for France, but did not equate to success in the US. Turnover rate > 40%.

Thank you for taking the time to review Fiducial. Glad you met some great people. We do have many items to work through. We have made great progress in the last couple of years. We understand that people have a choice in who they work for - and we want Fiducial to be their choice. We have also made great strides concerning increases and the ability to reward those who have contributions above what is expected. We know that the US is different from France and that awareness is allowing us to make decisions based on what is good for Fiducial US. Also, not sure where your numbers came from but we do not have 40+% turnover. But thanks for reviewing - that is helpful to us.

Pros

Learned about business taxes, high worth clients, and types of business forms.

Cons

No guidance, little feedback if any. Manager procrastination concerning reviewing tax returns before final processing causes overtime which they don’t pay because you are exempt. They are not a CPA firm so I don’t think they should be able to do that. Also, the work environment was toxic as the manager let the office manager treat the tax accountants in an abusive manner, and blamed the tax accountants with any problems with her. Also, there is no generous PTO - it’s by manager discretion and they don’t let you go beyond your vacation and sick leave hours. The compensation is lower than market, the raises are barely to the cost of living percentage, and the 401k match is awful- they match 1% of your yearly salary as long as you contribute 4%. In the last year I was employed the branch lost some major clients, and was losing money. Th manager decided to put just the tax accountants on a PIP, with no prior evaluations in the last 2 years.
