Pros

Work-life balance is very good, taking time off is essentially mandatory for salaried employees and they have unlimited PTO. If leadership finds out someone is not taking PTO they basically kick them out of the office and tell them to relax and take care of themselves. PTO for hourly employees is comprehensive and accommodating to those with disabilities or important commitments outside of work. HR is much more robust than it once was (older reviews will tell you that it was bare bones in the earlier days). Information is easy to access and employees and quick to respond to questions. Ticketing system in place for concerns and reports. Active diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in both hiring and company culture. Cross-talk between departments is encouraged, you can sit in on pretty much any meeting you want to and learn about what's going on in other parts of the company. Collaboration and personal projects encouraged. Questioning fundamental structures of company encouraged and used as feedback. Many opportunities for advancement, management encourages continuing education (there's also a stipend for classes) and lateral mobility as well as upward mobility. Healthcare package top notch.

Cons

Communication can break down on occasion because everyone assumes that someone else is "handling it," sort of a bystander effect situation. You have to be very engaged and make sure you're keeping in touch with everyone. Sometimes projects get tied up in committees when they should be going through an iterative process instead. Every once in a while, the CEO will remind everyone that they need to cut down on the meetings, because they tend to get a little out of hand over time.

Pros

I have been with Figure for 5 years, starting as an Associate Engineer and growing into a Senior Engineer. This company has genuinely changed my life and helped me build the kind of future I dreamed about when I was first starting out in college. I’ve worked alongside truly excellent engineers, been given meaningful growth opportunities, and have been more than fairly compensated along the way, including raises that kept my pay highly competitive even between promotions. The work is engaging, challenging, and keeps me sharp. The culture is one of the best parts of the company: a rare blend of fast iteration, high ownership, strong engineering talent, and controlled chaos in the best possible way. Figure moves quickly, embraces emerging technology, and continues to grow without losing the energy that makes it exciting to work here.

Cons

The pace may not be for everyone. Figure has a startup-like culture where things move fast, priorities can shift, and teams are expected to adapt quickly. I personally find that refreshing and motivating because it keeps the work from becoming monotonous. However, people coming from environments where change is slower or processes are more rigid may need time to adjust.

Pros

Free health insurance, the option to work from home, pay was good.

Cons

They hire and fire at will. They have no real training program. They throw all this stuff at you and advise to take notes, then they tell you that you have 3 assessments to take. They tell you that you cant look at any of the documents or tools that they provided to you to do the job. How they expect you to know all that is impossible. Then they let you to believe that you passed and put you on the floor doing the job. Two days later they call you after you go home, to say oh you didnt pass training.. You didnt get the score of 85. Did not matter that I was doing the job and getting high QA scores. and they dont let you repeat training, they just fire you. You are just a number to them and not a human being.
