Pros
The AI and machine learning space that Figure Eight is in is seeing exponential growth, and the market has caught up to our technology. Each day, we're seeing an increasing number of companies dipping their toe, or jumping in completely, into the world of AI and machine learning. To be the gasoline for this engine in providing high quality training data so AI and ML models can be built or revised is powerful. We've had strong growth until now, but we're at the bottom of the hockey stick curve and I'm excited to see where this goes.
The office itself is nice, with an open vibe, cubbies, and conference rooms. There's free lunch on most days, and a few decent restaurant options locally. Just don't make a right turn on 6th!
The people that work here are smart and capable, and it feels like most of the teams are very well aligned. It's a 'get stuff done' environment.
Cons
This is a transparent and fast-paced company, with an environment not suited for those that need tremendous amounts of structure or hand-holding. Roll up your sleeves and jump in. If that doesn't work for you, then you probably won't want to work here.
