Pros

1) Given as much rope as you can handle right out of the gate; 2) Opportunity for professional and personal growth if you ask for it; 3) Ability to own a product line or service line (almost a requirement to be a SME in some category); 4) Lots of face time and interaction with c-suite management and board members 5) Very well compensated through a very sizable bonus 6) Plenty of room for upward advancement in a short amount of time if management recognizes your ability

Cons

1) Can work long hours during the busy period 2) Can require some travel at times 3) Always trying to improve systems and procedures, which can sometimes result in QA issues

Pros

Great place to learn and build out technical skills.

Cons

Abusive work environment mixed with idiotic moves by management creates a disastrous place to work. You get roped into working here with mentions of a 'great' bonus to compensate you for working long hours combined with an underwhelming base. In reality, this bonus does not exist unless you're apart of the CEO's immediate family. Speaking of, the failed son of the CEO is one of the worst employees in the entire company, yet parades around the office in shorts and a t-shirt like he's God. In addition to being a complete net negative, he enjoys spending an enormous amount of the company's money on frivolous things (most likely where other employees bonuses are going). I wouldn't wish this place upon my own worst enemy. Unless you're a psych grad student researching Stockholm syndrome, I would avoid this place at all costs. One additional story to describe the overall work environment - all employees were in a company wide meeting when the CEO threatened to physically hit someone within the company.
