Finder Response
6yThank you for your review, I really appreciate your time spent on this.
I'm really proud of the autonomy we provide the crew and given that we're growing rapidly, I’m happy to see you call this out as it’s something we aim to have for every crew member.
The Publishing & Editorial team has grown to be one of the largest teams within Finder. As a result, in early 2017 we developed a career levelling doc all the way from an intern through to Head of Publishing & Editorial. Often the problem with internal documents is ensuring everyone is aware of them and that they’re actively followed.
We also have an annual training budget so the crew can really master their craft and progress in their chosen field. But it sounds like we’ve still got some work to do in this area to make sure everybody has a clear promotion path – it’s an area I'm passionate about with the goal of aiming for a perfect overlap between personal career goals and business goals.
In terms of culture, you’re right – great culture takes hard work and we are committed to having the best experience possible for the crew. Under no circumstance should you have been made to feel that your breaks were being timed, so I’m sorry for this. While we try to inject our values into the business to create a nurturing environment and to listen to the needs of our crew, we can always find ways to do more.
If you have any ideas about how we can improve the culture at Finder, please contact me directly at jeremy@finder.com.
Thank you again,
J
