Pros
The membership is outstanding. The front line and back office staff are dedicated and committed to serving the members and each other. The benefits package is one of the best out there and the facilities are nice.
Cons
Executive management claims to “care” about its employees however practices a “do as I say” attitude. They speak of empowerment but micro manage even the smallest of processes, using bullying tactics to keep employees fearful of losing their jobs. They are reactive instead of being proactive with no infrastructure or expertise to support the expansion into other states. They run so lean causing employees to be consistently stretched so thin they understandably make mistakes. For example, Regional Offices will only have 2-4 employees at any given time. All the while staff is being lectured by Exec Mgt on accuracy and member service. The CEO has worked her way up (this being being her only employer), although admirable she lacks knowledge of how things can be done differently, more effective or efficiently.
