Pros
I actually started at FA straight out of college, and the Marketing Manager there gave me a chance. I literally knew nothing, yet I was given guidance and challenged to think for myself on how to enhance business practices & capture new business. From this, I was able to grow quickly as a marketing professional and see my impact on the business. The department team was fun, open, and collaborated well. I often was able to voice new ideas & project ideas to Sr. leadership in the department who helped steer the direction of my ideas strategy, and then allowed me to chase it with haste. They also brought in teams to educate managers on better management tactics, which is more than many companies do for their team. The company has fun outings where you can let loose, and the work / life balance honestly was great. I typically worked a straight 40 hour work week, and had no issues keeping up with work. Finally, the company is focused on fitness & health. I asked HR if they had any budget to help revamp the workout facility & they let me completely overhaul the room (which is on-site & accommodates a variety of machines, free weights, and punching bag)
Cons
I'd say that it can be a bit slow to get things done in this office, especially if it has to do with financial approvals. But, I can see why since it is a part of a public company & requires a lot of safeguards to protect itself & its reporting to corporate.
