Pros

Salaries and most policies seem to be in line with industry standards.

Cons

I'm sure that not all departments are dysfunctional but the department I worked in was a total train wreck. The culture was literally everyone for themselves at any cost. I sat through a department outing where the whole department went out to lunch together and no one spoke to each other for the entire hour. It was the most bizarre experience I've ever had in my professional career. Sad part is that I got the feeling that that was the way the department management wanted it. Everybody, including management was off on their on personal agendas. Unfortunately along with the agendas, backstabbing and siloing there was also nepotism in the department. Etc. Etc. As noted a complete train wreck and not the place for a team player...

Pros

Every bank offers fairly decent benefits. This bank is no exception the benefits are in line with its competitors.

Cons

First NBC was around many years ago and just restarted its operation again, hiring some of its previous staff from long ago. Many of the people running NBC are fairly old and like running the bank the way it was run in the 1970-1980s. FNBC's company culture is weird. There is a lot of favoritism and many tribes. Having fun is unspokenly frowned upon. They are 5 steps behind in technology for their customers and employees. Just an example of some of the bizarre operational requirements... You have to pull the paper tray out of your printer before leaving work, power cords to some devices are locked in the safe....... No bank I've ever worked at has ever done that, but they think it's genius. One thing you need to know before coming to NBC is that NBC fires people a lot. Don't think after working there for years they won't even blink before they axe you. They have no loyalty to loyal employees.
