Pros

First Wealth genuinely believe in the messages they put out - they genuinely want to change the financial planning profession for the better, and take proactive measures to do so.

Cons

The office is in Marylebone, which can sometimes mean a very busy commute. But First Wealth promote flexible working, so that people who prefer to avoid busier commutes can.

Pros

- Strong values-led culture focused on client wellbeing rather than pure profit - Genuinely good people across the business, collaborative and supportive teams - High level of autonomy in roles, especially for entrepreneurial individuals - Exposure to a wide range of clients and complex financial planning scenarios -Forward-thinking positioning as a B-Corp and purpose-driven firm

Cons

- Lack of clear strategic direction at times, particularly when launching new initiatives - Inconsistent communication from leadership, leading to confusion around priorities - Execution often didn’t match ambition, strong ideas but limited follow-through - Role expectations and success metrics were not always clearly defined - Limited infrastructure/support when building new areas of the business - Annual targets plucked out of thin air - Fast-paced changes without always providing teams with the tools or clarity needed to succeed - Blurring of professional boundaries at times created an uncomfortable working environment for some employees

Pros

Great team and management who achieve really positive client outcomes. A fun and compassionate company to work for, who offer an excellent remuneration package and strong progression opportunities. Would work for them again and would recommend others to as well.

Cons

Ideally needs a bigger office as WFH becomes less frequent across the board but believe that is in the pipeline.
