Pros
Fun, casual atmosphere. A lot of flexibility in my role, allowing work to fit around my life which was nice.
Cons
Bad benefits. Five Below skimps on costs with the benefits they offer. I often had a hard time finding affordable healthcare and accessing it with their insurance and my pay. Lack of role clarity, clear career pathing, and routine. Everyday was different, which is nice to start with but after time can wear you down. It was fairly common to be asked to do something completely new, with few resources to support your learning, and little time to get your bearings before projects were due. Too ambitious planning with little investment in the resources it takes to execute those plans leads to employees being asked to cover the gaps with extra work.
