Pros
Flexibility with work location usually
Cons
The WFM Manager is the worst manager I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They do not encourage or support individuals or the team at all. If you don't have an air tight reason for doing something, you will be thrown under the bus. I was promised certain tools to do the job and after 6 months of being told, "I don't know how to help you or what to do other than point you to someone else" I had it. When you have to create something brand new because the old processes are so manual and archaic with no reasoning, organizational knowledge or documentation, AND you get in trouble because the new processes aren't perfect day 1, but they save over 2 hours every day, there has to be some give and take. Would you rather have someone doing data entry and make mistakes or create a process that can be improved and refined to eliminate all future mistakes. The manager was the most disengaged, defensive and aggressive individual I have encountered in management. They will go weeks without talking to you and then get mad at you for things that were never communicated or their importance was not made known.
